| Welcome to my world of ambience! Whether you're new to the ambient music scene, or a finely aged fan, come on in. If you're exploring the web in search of informational pointers, I'm glad you found my little site, the AmbiEntrance. Its purpose is to provide independent reviews of ambient, techno, experimental, gothic, tribal and/or other forms of eclectic music, because that's what I listen to and want to share my knowledge as others before me have done. The site also serves to provide a bit of a showpiece for our web design business, SpiderBytes. I've put a lot of work into totally "hand"-crafting this site and want potential customers to see what I can do. As far as the ambient genre, I've only been seriously immersing myself since late 1995, and hope to aid others just entering into this vast, exciting realm. Thus, the Entrance in AmbiEntrance. Of course, I hope to offer insights to longtime ambient lovers as well, perhaps enlightening them on a title or two they haven't yet obtained. I'm no musician (a dabbler, yes...), nor a studio tech, industry insider or musical theoretician... these reviews are written by a simple Listener. As an admittedly unjaded student of ambience, my reviews are intended to be fairly straightforward. Bear all this in mind and maybe you'll learn someting here. It's been my pleasure to have visited many fine webpages devoted to this musical form that appeals to me so. Without their help, I never would have learned as much, or been steered toward essential CDs. I want to offer the same to others. More about Link O'Rama. |
